DYXNet Managed Greater China Internet Roaming

This is a 56Kbps modem dial-up Internet roaming service for mobile users traveling around the region. Cities under coverage include Hong Kong, Taipei, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing.

Internet Roaming allows you to access your Internet account from every major city in the region by simply making a local call. This has several benefits:

  • Roaming charges are significantly less than the cost of an overseas phone call.
  • You get a better quality Internet connection with a local call.
    You can gain access to all Internet services as long as they are legal at your location, such as email, the Web, FTP, TELNET, public newsgroup, Internet phone etc.
  • Our Internet Roaming service is ideal for management and staff who travel overseas on business or holiday, and who need to stay in touch with the office, friends or family back home.

For added convenience, your roaming charges are billed on a FIXED monthly basis regardless of the actual airtime usage.

SERVICE DETAILS

1. Service Availability
- DYXNet Managed Greater China Internet Roaming Service enables Diyixian customers to enjoy seamless Internet roaming by dialing directly to Diyixian's Points of Presence (POPs) including Taipei, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing using normal phone line (PSTN) and a 56K modem (V.90). Other POPs can be accessed by local long distance call through PSTN.

2. Service Quality
- Service quality including speed and stability depends on the local phone line quality. The connection speed can theoretically be as high as 56K but it normally reaches at 52K in good condition.

Urban and well-developed areas usually give you better speed whereas lower speed will be experienced in remote areas.

3. IP Addresses and DNS
- A dynamic routable IP address (real IP) will be assigned to each customer after the dial-up connection is available. Customers can simply choose "Provider/Server assigns IP and DNS" in the dial-up program to start the service.

4. SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) Service
- As email becomes an indispensable communication channel in today's marketplace, Diyixian is pleased to offer SMTP service along with our DYXNet Managed Greater China Internet Roaming Service to enable customers to send emails to their customers, colleagues, business counterparts or friends whenever they want.

DYXNet Managed Worldwide Internet Roaming

Our Worldwide Roaming service allows you to access your Internet account from every major city in the world by simply making a local call. This cost-effective service has coverage extending to about 150 countries and more than 14,000 local Points-of-Presence (POPs). Roaming charges are billed for actual airtime usage.
